We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Personnel Security Specialist to join our growing team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State.

The Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) | Personnel Security Specialist’s primary responsibility is the day-to-day security operations of a special access program (SAP) to ensure compliance with various Department of Defense and contractual requirements.  Additional responsibilities include assisting employees with obtaining their initial DoD security clearance and follow-on program access requirements, and to support the Security Department with the day-to-day interpretation, implementation, enforcement and execution of the National Industrial Security Program (32 CFR Part 117) and DoDM 5205.7 vols. 1-4, to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal laws, directives and regulations.

The successful candidate will join our Security Team working in both our Sedro-Woolley and Hamilton facilities.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Execute security requirements consistent with the program’s DD Form 254 and Security Classification Guide policies and procedures.
  • As a CPSO, you are the primary representative on all security related matters with the customer.
  • Oversee daily security operations and ICD compliance for the program’s accredited areas.
  • Investigate security violations and submit incident reports as needed to applicable government agencies.
  • Perform and maintain periodic program security reviews to include Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and SAP selfinspections. Oversee implementation and completion of corrective action plans.
  • Maintain data compliance in DISS and NBIS accounts.
  • Assist with the development, implementation and oversight of the security education program.
  • Conduct Security indoctrination briefings, debriefings, annual refresher briefings, and all other briefings as required.
  • Maintain security documentation and files in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Conduct and participate in inspections (internal and external) and implement necessary corrective actions when deficiencies found.
  • Communicate with Government agencies on a continuous basis to obtain approvals and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Conduct security violation inquiries and investigations to assure potential compromises are thoroughly evaluated and reported, as required.
  • Ensure compliance with security measures / controls for secured spaces.
  • Monitor  and maintain the Visitor Control Program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This is a mid-level position and requires previous industrial and personnel security experience.

The ideal candidate must work well under pressure, with the ability to successfully complete multiple competing deadlines and priorities without supervision.  Candidate must have a cooperative behavior when dealing with peers and supervisors.  Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of this position.

 REQUIREMENTS

  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
  • The ability to maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and obtain Special Access Program (SAP) acceptance are required for this position.  The selected individual will be subject to government security investigations/ reinvestigations and/or agree to enter the Continuous Evaluation program as necessary.
  • U.S. Citizens with dual citizenship or U.S. Persons are not eligible for this position.
  • This position is expected to be performed onsite 100% of the time at both our Sedro-Woolley and Hamilton facilities.

 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A self-starter, willing to take on numerous responsibilities. 
  • Enjoys working with others.
  • Understands the importance of maintaining and respecting personal information and confidentiality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language is a must.

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Required:  Current DoD Secret clearance with NACLC investigation within the last 5 years.
  • Required:  Previous CPSO or Industrial Security Specialist experience, to include basic knowledge of DISS, e-QIP (e-APP), SWFT, and NISS
  • Required:  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint a must!)
  • Preferred:  Familiarity with NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1-4, DCID and applicable directives
  • Desired:  Bachelor’s degree or CDSE Professional Certifications.  All positions require at least a high school diploma/GED.
  • Desired:  Proficient in Spanish (Speaking/Reading/Writing)

 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Salary range for this role is between $78,000 - $93,000 plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
